FAQ

Here you can get to know how to choose HANDING fishing reels, if you have more question please contact service@handingfishing.com, we are aways here to help you choose your ideal product.

To the angler who requires dead-on accuracy and raw horsepower to overpower the struggle, a baitcasting reel is not gear—it's an expression of your will. It's the joy of putting a lure precisely where you desire, the assurance to drag a trophy out from under the thickest cover, and the direct link that turns an excellent day on the water into legend.

We know that it's daunting to switch to one of these baitcasting reels. There is the possibility of the infamous "bird's nest" (backlash), but it is a hurdle that any committed angler can master. HANDING feels that this kind of performance doesn't have to be reserved for an elite few. Our purpose is to get the upgraded mastery of baitcasting into the hands of all, from the stubborn newcomer that is going to learn a different way to the hardcore player that survives on Saturday tournament.

The HANDING Difference: Pro-Grade Engineering for Everybody

Fishermen have been held hostage by a trade-off between premium performance and affordability for far too long. We're here to tell you that you don't have to anymore.

  • In-House, Advanced Design: Because we own our own factory, we dictate the entire process from design to manufacture. Our inventions such as our Tapered Line Guide and double guide shaft are designed to create very smooth, quiet, and longer casts by minimizing friction—a difference you can sense on the water.
  • Built to Last: We understand durability is an issue with budget gear. That's why the M1 comes with heavy-duty brass boat's main drive gear, three-disc carbonda drag washers, and 6+1 double-shielded stainless steel bearings to ride through year after year of tough fishing.

Master Your Cast: Your Ultimate Guide to Baitcasting

This is your self-assurance-building and best performance headquarters. We want to give you knowledge, transmuting frustration into triumph.

Why Use a Baitcaster? Power at Your Fingertips.

  • Unmatched Accuracy: The thumb-activated spinning spool places the power to feather your cast and brake your lure in your hands. This is important when you are placing lures close to cover like docks, stumps, and weed lines where large fish tend to loaf.
  • More Power & Muscle: The winch-type action provides you with more torque, allowing you to have the power to pull big, mouthy fish such as pike and bass out of thick cover and structure.
  • Smooth Handling of Heavy Gear: Baitcasters are the smarter option when spinning reels are not keeping up. They're the smarter alternative for managing heavier lines (10lb+) and bigger lures such as deep-diving crankbaits and heavy jigs.

Tame the Beast: A 3-Step Guide to No-Fear Casting

Domesticate the "bird's nest" with this easy, replicable procedure.

  1. Set Brakes: Begin by setting the outboard brake dial for the exterior magnetic brake to approximately halfway on its full scale (i.e., 5 on a 1-10). This is a good benchmark to avoid having the spool spin too quickly.
  2. Regulate Spool Tension: Turn the handle next to the knob tightly and regulate spool tension. Push down on the thumb bar so that the spool will release. The lure will not drop. Now slowly back off on the knob until the lure starts dropping very slowly in a controlled fashion. When it impacts on the ground, the spool will no longer be spinning and producing sloppy loops of line.
  3. Use Your Thumb: Your thumb is your last brake/release. Use a smooth, sweeping cast, don't whip crazy. While the lure is in the air, set your thumb on the spool lightly. When the lure splashes into the water, squeeze down hard with your thumb to lock the spool firm.

You've read about it. You've seen the potential. Now find it for yourself in your hand. The accuracy, the power, and the unmatched control of a high-end baitcaster are no longer beyond your reach.
